Nationals Coming Up

I will be heading to Nationals in Oregon this Friday. We are going to stop in Toheo for the weekend and do some racing before driving up on Sunday to Bend. I will have racing on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. Hopefully the team will come back with a win.

Cat's Hill

Cat's Hill = Crit with 23% grade

I did the 3s race directly before the Junior race. Raced the first 8 laps and got out to save it for the Junior race. I felt great and was ready to race. During the junior race I sat around 10th place. It was my sweet spot because any further up then I would be taking a lot of wind on the home stretch which had a massive head wind. I got swarmed on the last lap and got 17 spot back. It was ok because James won.

Santa Cruz

Yesterday I woke up at 5 and got home at 9, thanks to Santa Cruz and the track.

Santa Cruz: I attacked with one to go and the field chased me down. Peter Taylor was top five and sat on their wheels. They used most of their energy and he won the sprint.

Peter and I watched the pro race and all the other ones (in the sun). I got burnt very badly.

Then we went to the track where Larry was putting on a junior clinic. I found some suntan lotion, but it was too late and I was horribly burnt. I had a good time going around in circles and even had a bumming competition with David.
