Belgium

I am leaving in August to race in Belgium with USA Cycling. Being invited to this trip has been my goal for the past two years and my dream for the past three. Many teammates have gone the past years and have really inspired me. I will be racing in Belgium for three weeks this August.

This has been a great year for me. I traveled to LA, Phoenix, New York, Bend, Flagstaff and Las Vegas to race. Along the way I got some great results, which included a win in the cat 3s at the San Dimas Road Race. I won the 15/16s at Battenkill in New York and I flew to the USA Cycling regional camp in Flagstaff, AZ. I was evaluated in 2 time trials and learned a lot from the coaches. At Nationals I took risks in the races that didn’t pay off. I ended with a 7th in the criterium.

Over the last three years many people have helped me reach my goal. I have always been supported on local rides. It has been great talking and learning from people who have ridden for so many years. They have always encouraged me.

Over the past years I have met many friends and had a great time. Each of you have encouraged me along the way. I especially want to thank. Steve Howard from Livermore Cyclery has given his time and knowledge to build and constantly resize my bikes. My team has been great, the juniors and masters, especially Larry Nolan has encouraged, coached, and given me tactics. The Lyttle host my family and I in Battenkill. We slept in their loft and they showed us the course and their great town.
